Professor Terry Lamb is research lead in an EU-funded project titled ‘Home Away from Home’ (HAFH). In partnership with HOMELandS, HAFH organised a public event, titled ‘Cultural Diversity, Migration Integration and Youth Action: New Perspectives and Innovative Practices’, at University of Westminster, on 3rd July 2019. This public engagement event served the purposes of disseminating the HAFH research and associated training activities aimed at young volunteers and project leaders working with refugees and asylum seekers, as well as facilitating discussions to feed into the project report conclusions. It also disseminated HOMElandS research, including knowledge exchange with migrant communities, arts practices and organisations supporting refugees and asylum seekers. The event therefore had wider impact beyond the academic community and provided an opportunity to develop relationships with potential partners for future research.
