The Entrepreneurship Research Group showcases and draws together the research strengths of academics in the field, engaging external speakers as well as academics, Postgraduate and PhD students. Our research seminars consisting of our own staff and external speakers will enable academics to present their work as well as hear from leaders in the field.
There is a lot of activity in the area, both in terms of income generation and scholarly work. This group will increase the momentum and raise the profile of work within the field of entrepreneurship. It will increase impact through strengthening links with research and teaching, employability and knowledge exchange. Through regular research seminars, collaborative income generation projects and events, this is an inclusive group which welcomes academics, entrepreneurs and practioners.
Whilst the scope within the discipline is broad, the priorities are:
- entrepreneurship, Innovation and enterprise development
- ethnic minority entrepreneurs, diversity, inclusion, inequality, ethics and gender
- young entrepreneurs
- social entrepreneurship, compassion and entrepreneurship
- entrepreneurship education, research informed teaching
- entrepreneurial policy, finance and marketing
The group encompasses the university and school-wide values and priorities of employability, compassion and social justice.
