The Accounting, Governance, and Sustainability (AGS) Research Group brings together the expertise and research strengths of academics in the fields of accounting, governance, and sustainability, creating a platform for impactful research and knowledge exchange. Through our events, including regular seminars and workshops, we engage a wide network of stakeholders—from academics and PhD students to practitioners, policymakers, and industry leaders. By fostering a collaborative environment, we aim to expand our research impact, strengthen ties between academia and industry, and enhance the societal relevance of our work.

The AGS group provides networking and professional development opportunities, as well as specialist training in quantitative and qualitative research methods, enabling researchers at all levels to develop and refine their skills.

Our research group also offers PhD supervision in accountability, sustainability, and governance, allowing candidates to work alongside leading scholars in an interdisciplinary and collaborative environment. We actively develop partnerships with academic institutions, industry, practitioners, and regulatory bodies to facilitate knowledge exchange and research dissemination. Our university works closely with organisations such as ACCA, CIMA, and other key bodies to expand our research network and impact.
