Doctoral Researcher Development Programme

Doctoral researcher development programme (Vitae)

The DRDP consists of tailor-made workshops, specialist skills sessions and personal development planning activities, designed for you to develop experience and skills relevant to academic study. They also aim to build your confidence and abilities to engage in reflective practice and to plan your professional career.

The programme is based on the national Vitae Researcher Development Framework which is endorsed by the RCUK, the QAA and many other UK Higher Education sector stakeholders. This means that the DRDP covers topics and issues identified by practicing researchers, approaching them from a discipline-specific perspective and also considering research activity in a wider context. Our programme has been designed to introduce you to the wide range of qualities, skills and attributes that a successful researcher may develop during their career.

Good luck with your studies and we hope that you will find our developmental programme a valuable element of your research experience with us.

Visit our DRDP website for the programme and booking information.
