Leaving a gift in your will

Leaving a gift in your will is the most important gift you will make. A gift which will make a difference to the futures of many Westminster students. We hope you choose to support the University of Westminster with a gift in your will. Before you decide, we have put together this page, a new brochure and introduced a free will writing service which we hope you will find useful.

The difference a gift in your will could make

  • Award more bursaries and scholarships to students like Olufemi, who would otherwise miss out on a University degree and miss out on their ambitions.

  • Donate to our legacy endowment fund. Gifts received are invested, and only the gains and interest of this endowment will ever be spent to support the most pressing needs at the University. All gifts of all sizes are appreciated as together they can be transformational in helping to build the value of the fund to build a sustainable income stream to support students long into the future.

  • Support our various appeals to make a significant impact on our community at the University of Westminster. Your contributions can help transform 29 Marylebone Road into a cutting-edge educational hub, support the historic Soho Poly Theatre's restoration, fund the Big Idea Competition, fostering entrepreneurial talent, and aid the Hardship Fund, which provides essential financial assistance to students in need. Additional initiatives include the Ignite Fund for student projects, Inclusive Scholarships, the Incubator Programme for entrepreneurs, and many more. Together, we can create opportunities and support for our students and community. For more details, visit University of Westminster Appeals.

I am writing to express my deepest gratitude to the Estate of Dr Maud Tyler for the scholarship I was awarded, which was immensely valuable in my final year at the University. The scholarship provided me with financial support and the freedom to truly experience and immerse myself in my studies and extracurricular activities.

The Maud Tyler Scholarship enabled me to go through my third year, thrive, and grow in ways I had never imagined. For this, I am profoundly grateful. Thank you once again for your generosity and support. It has made a significant difference in my life, and I am deeply appreciative.

– Olufemi Davies (BSc Computer Science), recipient of the Maud Tyler Scholarship
