On 24 October the University of Westminster hosted its second What it Takes event of the 2023-24 series, where industry expert Alasdair Pettigrew spoke to students and recent graduates about what it takes to develop resilience.
At the event that took place at Portland Hall, Alasdair Pettigrew, CEO of MeOmics Technology and alumnus of the Mechanical and Computer Aided Engineering (BEng) course, spoke to the audience about how he began his career, the challenges he faced, what he learnt along the way and what he has achieved. His presentation provided insight on how he dealt with transitions during his career and how he tackles life’s challenges. It was packed full of useful tips and advice to help students become more resilient as they set out on their career paths.
The talk was followed by a Q&A session held by Justin Haroun, Senior Lecturer in the School of Life Sciences and the Director of Westminster’s Centre for Resilience.
