Two awards of £10,000 will be distributed between students of selected courses for their second and final year of study. The funds can be used to meet any maintenance needs, such as rental, travel, childcare or day-to-day costs.

In order to qualify, the applicant must be a female Level 5, full-time undergraduate UK student at the University of Westminster, fully enrolled for the academic year 2022-23 in either Accounting BSc, Finance BSc, Business Management (Finance) BSc, Accounting and Business Management BSc, Finance and Business Management BSc or Business Economics BSc course.

The applicant must have a full undergraduate student loan for the 2022-23 academic year, including tuition and maintenance loan, and have a household income of less than £25,000 a year. Demonstrating financial need and development potential is also required, with at least a 55% average grade for Level 5.

The application deadline is at 5pm on Sunday 20 November 2022. Students must send their UG Entitlement Summary letter from their Student Finance England account for 2022-23, along with the completed application form.

Talking about the Scholarship, Daniella Rodriguez, Development Officer at Westminster, said: “We are delighted to have established the Ava Whyte Scholarship in partnership with Noreen Whyte. This Scholarship will empower female Business students at Westminster who are facing financial hardship. Given the current cost of living crisis, support from generous alumni like Noreen can be life changing for our students.”
