The IRL is a not-for-profit organisation that promotes leadership integrity aligned with corporate social responsibility and sustainability across the public and private sector. They provide leadership courses, consultancy and mentorship programmes in order to ensure issues of sustainability and ethics are best addressed by leaders around the world.

One way in which the IRL promotes leadership integrity is by awarding Fellowships to honour and publicise key examples of responsible leadership across the globe. Professor Noble’s award as an honoured Fellow for his work at the University of Westminster and as Director of its IHUL recognises his responsible leadership practices.

Professor Mike Saks, Chair of the IRL, commented: “We are delighted that Professor Noble will now be engaged with us as an honoured Fellow. In addition to his distinguished profile, we and the University of Westminster share a Memorandum of Understanding that has led to the facilitation of several key UNITAR (United Nations Institute for Training and Research)/IRL events.”

About the award, Professor Noble said: “I am honoured to have been awarded this Fellowship and look forward to working with the IRL in this capacity. There has never been greater need for responsible, informed and thoughtful leadership in the world, and the IRL plays an important role in its delivery. Our Institute for Healthy Urban Living wishes to demonstrate responsible leadership as we work with our colleagues and external stakeholder friends.”

The work of the IRL and Westminster’s IHUL contributes to the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) 16: Peace, Justice and Strong Institutions and 17: Partnerships for the Goals. Since 2019, the University of Westminster has used the SDGs holistically to frame strategic decisions to help students and colleagues fulfil their potential and contribute to a more sustainable, equitable and healthier society.
