Our Autumn courses will take place online only and are aimed at students wanting to start their main degree with us in January 2026.

How to apply

  • You must be holding an offer for a place at the University of Westminster.
  • You can apply by contacting  with a copy of your passport and IELTS/English language result.
  • Please ensure that you quote your student reference number when applying for the Pre-sessional English course.
  • Please ensure that you complete your application by the deadline.
  • Students will be required to make full payment for the course. International students needing a student visa for their main degree will also be required to pay the £5,500 international student deposit at the same time.
  • Students who apply early and pay their courses fees by the early payment deadline will be eligible for a 10% discount on the full fee.
  • Students applying for the online courses will study the course online and will not need to apply for CAS in order to get a student visa until the end of the pre-sessional course and prior to enrolling on their main degree programme.
  • If you have already successfully completed a pre-sessional course with us the result remains valid for one year, i.e. if you successfully passed a pre-sessional course at Westminster but decide to defer entry to your main degree course, then your results remain valid and you can use the results for the following intake entry.
  • Students who already meet the English language requirements for their degree course can also apply if they simply want to improve their language skills.

We also accept a range of English tests for entry such as:

  • Kaplan International Test of English KITE
  • Oxford International ELLT
  • Pearson PTE UKVI
  • Trinity UKVI
