With a number of Transnational Education partnerships across the world, the University of Westminster offers a wide range of degree programmes in many subjects and at various levels. These partnerships offer students a chance to study for a Westminster awarded degree in a location other than the UK.

Macromedia

The University’s partnership with Macromedia University was established in 2015. Macromedia University’s practice-oriented teaching and close links with industry partners is a perfect complement to the academic portfolio of the University of Westminster.

With campuses in Berlin, Munich, Cologne and Hamburg, it is one of the largest universities for professionally oriented courses in media management, communications design, arts, music and business management in Germany.

Nepal

The Westminster College (TWC)

The Westminster College (TWC) is committed to offering world-class education to students at an affordable cost and in-country. TWC prioritises student success through a comprehensive education model which is designed to equip students with the skills, knowledge, and experience necessary to excel in their chosen careers and act in the world as global and networked citizens. The University of Westminster’s partnership was signed in 2023 which coincided with the founding of the College. The Westminster College (TWC) campus is located in Kathmandu.

IED Istituto Europeo di Design

The University’s partnership with the IED Istituto Europeo di Design was established in 2010. For more than 50 years IED has been operating in the fields of education and research in the disciplines of design, fashion, visual communication and management. Today, IED is constantly expanding its international network that works with several prestigious academic institutes and partner institutions, including Westminster, to offer double-branded courses.

Sri Lanka

Informatics Institute of Technology

Informatics Institute of Technology (IIT) was established in 1990 as the first private higher education institute awarding British degrees in the field of Information Communication Technology (ICT) and Business. The University of Westminster’s partnership with IIT began in 2005 and celebrates its 20th anniversary in 2025. Currently, there are around 5,000 students on Westminster programmes at IIT.

Uzbekistan

Westminster International University in Tashkent

Westminster International University in Tashkent (WIUT) was established by the University of Westminster and the Foundation of the President of Uzbekistan in 2002 as the first international university located in the heart of Central Asia to offer a Western-style education with UK qualifications. WIUT provides internationally recognised programmes at undergraduate and postgraduate levels that are designed and validated in partnership with the University of Westminster.
