Psychology MSc Part-time – 2025

I feel like I'm part of a community.

Why did you choose the University of Westminster?

I chose the University of Westminster because it was close to home. The Psychology MSc course was exactly what I was looking for and aligned with my values, especially with its focus on helping graduates enter the field. I attended a postgraduate open day and took a campus tour, where I really liked the course leader. I also appreciated that the university is highly ranked in the country for diversity.

How has your experience been studying in London?

It's been perfect! I've met many people, and it's easy to attend meetings and events at the different campuses, conveniently close to shops and bars. I love studying at the Cavendish campus near the BT Tower and walking down some of the main streets in London. I feel like I'm part of something significant and meaningful.

What have you particularly enjoyed about your course?

I'm studying part-time, which is more manageable for me and I will spread the experience over two years. My lectures are on Fridays. The content is exciting, and the assignments are challenging! I also took the Academic English module, which I highly recommend. The lecture theatres are high quality, and the lectures are recorded.

How have you found academic support as part of your studies?

The lecturers are friendly, helpful, and approachable. We are encouraged to reach out to them to discuss the course and our experiences.

Are there any stand-out facilities associated with your course?

So far, the course has been lecture-based. The library is excellent, with three levels. There's a communal floor for chatting and an upper floor for quiet study. There's also an online librarian chat facility for questions and accessing journal articles.

Tell us about any activities that you have undertaken outside of your course.

I went on a coach trip to Stonehenge and Bath. At Stonehenge, I felt inspired by the beauty and wonder of planet Earth and the universe.

What would your advice be to someone considering studying at Westminster?
