One of the most compelling reasons I chose the University of Westminster was its rich diversity. With students representing over 160 nationalities, it offers a mosaic of cultures and backgrounds, surpassing many other institutions. How has your experience been studying in London?

My time studying in London was transformative. Initially, I faced challenges adjusting to the city's pace and mastering the nuances of adulthood and independence. However, as I grew more accustomed to my surroundings and responsibilities, London began to hold a special place in my heart. The city's vibrant energy, diverse population, and boundless opportunities significantly enriched my educational journey. I truly cherished my time studying here, and I'm hopeful for opportunities to continue my academic pursuits in this dynamic metropolis in the future.

Tell us about your course and what have you particularly enjoyed?

My journey throughout the Software Engineering BEng course at Westminster was both challenging and rewarding. What stood out prominently was my final year project, guided by the astute supervision of Dr. Alexander Bolotov. His mentorship was invaluable and played a pivotal role in my academic growth. It was a crowning moment for me when my project was selected for the Social Impact Prize, highlighting its potential to create meaningful change in society.

Beyond the project, I found several modules exceptionally interesting and engaging. Specifically, Mobile Native Development equipped me with practical skills for today's mobile-centric world, while Formal Methods and Concurrent Programming deepened my understanding of the foundational principles of software engineering. These experiences combined to make my time on the course genuinely enriching.

Absolutely, I took full advantage of the University's Careers and Employability Service. I was privileged to be a part of the Westminster Working Cultures Program, specifically in the UK Belfast stream. This experience provided me with a unique lens through which to view the working world, offering insights into the cultural nuances and professional dynamics of the Belfast workplace environment.

Additionally, I participated in the Career Mentorship Programme, which was immensely beneficial. Through it, I received guidance, perspective, and invaluable advice from seasoned professionals, enabling me to refine my career aspirations and navigate the complexities of the job market with increased confidence. Overall, the University's Careers and Employability Service has been instrumental in shaping my professional journey.

Alongside my academic coursework, I've been actively involved in a range of enriching extracurricular activities. A standout experience was my participation in the Westminster Working Cultures Program, where I had the opportunity to travel to Belfast. This trip was immensely insightful, allowing me to delve deep into the unique work culture and professional dynamics of the region.
