I think the best aspect of being a University of Westminster student is that you get to meet people from different countries across the world, with diverse personalities and cultures.

Why did you choose the University of Westminster?

I chose the University of Westminster because it had a welcoming spirit and it just felt like the best choice. I got the opportunity to join a virtual open event and I just loved everything about it.

How has your experience been studying in London?

It has been amazing. I like the fact that the lecturers give high importance to education and also respect your opinions. I also love the fact I am meeting new people with diverse cultures and personalities, and because of London’s location, I get to see new places and have great experiences.

What have you particularly enjoyed about your course?

I have enjoyed studying Investment and Risk Finance, especially because in class you can relate the scenarios you study in books to real-life situations.

How have you found academic support as part of your studies?

I have found the support very useful, especially with the help of recordings from Blackboard and the virtual library. Also, the fact that you can reach out to lecturers via email or teams for more validation has helped a long way.

Tell us about your experience of using the University Careers and Employability Service

Yes, I have used the University Careers and Employability Service and I had a good experience. I got to consult with the team, and had very helpful tips on how to rewrite my CV. I also met with the Engage team on Campus and was told the benefits of using Engage, which has helped me to book events like Girls Code and to check for employment opportunities.

Tell us about any activities that you have undertaken outside of your course

During my studies, I became a course representative and got the opportunity to meet virtually with other students that shared their ideas and thoughts. I also joined a few virtual programmes on ways to develop skills that can help me to achieve and accomplish my career goals.

What would your advice be to someone considering studying at Westminster?

My advice would be to utilise all the opportunities that come your way and never procrastinate. Also, you can achieve all your goals if you set your mind to it!
