Why did you choose the University of Westminster?
I chose the University of Westminster because their course was situated at the heart of the art scene, and I was eager to immerse myself in that environment to see how it could enrich my work. Additionally, being awarded a postgraduate scholarship, a rare opportunity for part-time study in many universities, played a significant role in my decision-making process.
How has your experience been studying in London?
I enjoyed studying in London and had the opportunity to build numerous contacts through the university as well as in galleries and arts centres. Access to all the Westminster campuses has provided me with the flexibility to explore various parts of the city.

I embarked on this MA with the goal of expanding my practice and further developing my writing skills around photography. This course not only equipped me with the necessary skill set but also provided invaluable insights into the evolving landscape of the field. The blend of theory and practical modules was a significant factor that drew me to the Photography Arts MA, and it has proven to be immensely beneficial. I had the opportunity to publish some of my writing on online platforms as part of a module and the teachings from this programme continue to influence my freelance and academic practice, guiding aspects such as pricing pieces and shaping how I articulate my work.

Are there any stand-out facilities associated with your course?
The contacts that my lecturers had outside of university have been instrumental in helping me secure valuable experience and work opportunities. The on-campus facilities included having access to state-of-the-art equipment and darkrooms for image development. These were significant advantages of being part of the course. The technical support provided beyond lecture times allowed me to explore and experiment with different approaches to my work.

I took part in the organisation for our degree show that was hosted at Ambika P3, the internationally acclaimed central London gallery space based at our Marylebone campus. This experience provided me with valuable insights into the preparation of a collective exhibition and allowed me to witness the presentation of artwork in an authentic gallery space.
