The industry-level facilities at the university are one of the main reasons why I chose Westminster. As an architecture student, the workshop facilities and studios are an important part of my degree. I was also able to see some of the student work at one of the Open Day events, and was really impressed with the quality and the complexity of the portfolios on display.

How has your experience been studying in London?
Studying in London opens a lot of opportunities, both for study and work. Searching for networking opportunities and future jobs is a lot easier in London because there are so many opportunities available. London also offers a wide range of social and cultural activities which are great ways to meet new people from all around the world.
What have you particularly enjoyed about your course?
I have enjoyed the design aspect of architecture the most as the University of Westminster offers a wide range of opportunities and digital programmes. They are all designed to help us prepare for our future careers. The University also offers a unique module that requires you to go on a construction site which is really interesting.
How have you found academic support as part of your studies?
My tutors and lecturers have been very helpful during study periods. They are also available outside of class and I’ve been able to contact them and ask for help almost anytime.
Are there any stand-out facilities associated with your course?
The Fabrication Lab is one of the best facilities as it offers high tech solutions that most other universities do not. It includes different workshop areas for different needs. The lab has almost everything you might need to complete any architectural projects whic is fantastic.
What would your advice be to someone considering studying at Westminster?
My advice would be to take advantage of all the resources available, including all the optional lectures, as these are some of the most useful in helping you to developing new skills.
What's the best aspect of being a University of Westminster student?
The best aspect of studying at the University of Westminster is the facilities available to students and the wide range of social activities and societies that students can get involved in.
What was the most surprising or unexpected aspect of your Westminster experience?
I was surprised how quickly I felt comfortable at the university, thanks to all the staff and tutors helping me to achieve this. I’m very grateful for my Westminster experience.
