Tell us about your course and what you have particularly enjoyed.
I am pursuing an undergraduate degree in Digital Media, and I’ve found the course both engaging and thoughtfully structured. What I particularly enjoy is the hands-on, practical nature of the course. It provides us with real-world experiences across various aspects of media production, from working in radio to learning the art of documentary.
How have you found academic support as part of your studies?
The academic support at the University of Westminster has been outstanding. The course team are both understanding and highly supportive. As a student representative for Digital Media, I can effectively communicate students' ideas and concerns to the course leader, ensuring they are addressed and acted upon. Additionally, the tutors are exceptionally prompt in responding to questions and queries, which significantly eases the learning process and minimises confusion.
Are there any stand-out facilities associated with your course?
One notable facility associated with my course is Smoke Radio, a student-run radio station at Westminster. This platform provides invaluable practical experience and offers a hands-on understanding of how radio stations operate, complementing the theoretical knowledge gained in the classroom. The user-friendly infrastructure enhances our learning experience and bridges the gap between theory and practice.
Tell us about any activities that you have undertaken outside of your course
Outside of my course, I am actively involved in social media management for both the Indian Society and the Music Society at the university. Additionally, I volunteer as a radio host at Smoke Radio. These roles not only build my confidence but also enrich my CV with diverse experiences and skills.
