International Development Management MSc – 2023

I am impressed by how historical the city is, the multicultural environment and how polite people are.

Why did you choose the University of Westminster?

I chose the University of Westminster for its unique curriculum and reputation for having students from different backgrounds from all spheres of the globe. As a student in the development field, I knew that my classes at the University of Westminster would be very interactive and filled with a different point of view from my colleagues and lectures regarding the development context.

How has your experience been studying in London?

I love my time in London. There is, of course, a vast contrast compared to where I am from, but that only brings more excitement to my experience here. I am impressed by how historical the city is, the multicultural environment and how polite people are. I feel welcomed.

What have you particularly enjoyed about your course?

I love everything about my course. It met my expectations. I chose the International Development Management MSc to understand the current issues in developing interventions to tackle poverty around the world. My course is a strong programme that combines economics, sustainability and project management, which are relevant to my career. What I loved the most is that we used real-life examples and reports and collaborated with real NGOs. Additionally, we had the opportunity to go on a study trip to the UN headquarters in Geneva and The World Trade Organisation, two outstanding organisations in leading development interventions.

What would your advice be to someone considering studying at Westminster?

A great University with a good atmosphere and supportive staff.

What's the best aspect of being a University of Westminster student?

I was happy to see how everyone was treated equally, the many networking opportunities, and the additional qualifications to support your career.

What was the most surprising or unexpected aspect of your Westminster experience?

The fact that everyone can be themselves and embrace their beliefs.
