Management MA – 2023

I've graduated with a great network of supportive fellow course members which I really appreciate!

Why did you choose the University of Westminster?

I had many options on my list when applying for my master's degree. The reason I chose UoW was that it profiled itself as a good University and could offer a variety of courses. Also, I really liked that it is a diverse and international school.

How has your experience been studying in London?

Very good! London is a dynamic and vibrant city full of people with different cultures and backgrounds. The possibilities are endless, and there is always something new to explore.

What have you particularly enjoyed about your course?

Overall, the course was interesting. We had a variety of modules, both theoretical and practical. I enjoyed our lectures as they gave a lot of insights into the different subjects, but also some of the seminars where we were able to do group discussions. The course is also very flexible, since we  had a lot of time to other things besides studies.

How have you found academic support as part of your studies?

I feel like I received the support I needed. The University offers a lot of different services to help students with their academic career.

Tell us about any activities that you have undertaken outside of your course

The management course arranged a residential weekend for one module. It was a nice weekend "getaway" with classmates, where we participated in different teambuilding and management exercises.

What would your advice be to someone considering studying at Westminster?

Get outside the lecture hall and make the most of living in one of the world's major cultural capitals and explore all the discounts available at theatres, cinema etc. For example, the English National Opera offers free tickets to U21s! All the museums are free, the parks are beautiful and you'll find a cosy and historic pub on every street corner.

What's the best aspect of being a University of Westminster student?

I loved the central London location and graduating from the Royal Festival Hall was really special.

What was the most surprising or unexpected aspect of your Westminster experience?

I didn't think I would make as many good friends being a part-time, working student, but I've graduated with a great network of supportive fellow course members which I really appreciate.
