Why did you choose the University of Westminster?

Choosing the University of Westminster has proven to be a wise decision after thorough research on potential universities. Westminster stood out to me for their course quality and campus facilities. The lectures and tutorials offer comprehensive support, covering both academic and technical aspects. The campus has well-equipped laboratories, an extensive library covering a wide range of subjects, and various spaces for both group and individual study.


What captivated me was the dedicated assistance and additional support from tutors. They not only offer extra help during classes but also provide the opportunity for individual meetings to seek further advice. The academic staff have a commitment to ensuring an unforgettable and positive student experience. Additionally, the university offers numerous societies and internship opportunities, which help you to expand your network.

How has your experience been studying in London?

Studying in the heart of London has been an exceptional experience. The campus is conveniently located and, easily accessible by tube and bus. Being in London has provided me with the chance to meet people from diverse cultures, broaden my connections, and gain insights into big city life. As one of the largest cities globally, I am fascinated by the number of internships and career opportunities available here. Despite the city's busy nature, I've quickly learned how to adapt and move with it.

Tell us about your course and what have you particularly enjoyed?

The best aspect of studying Data Science and Analytics was the unwavering support I received from the academic staff. Given my lack of background knowledge in the data and computing field, catching up with the materials initially was a challenge. However, the additional support provided during and after classes, especially during the pandemic period, improved my confidence and motivation to continue. The academic staff went above and beyond to assist me with any struggles related to technologies and tools.

I also appreciated the availability of some class recordings, allowing me to revisit previous lectures or tutorials at my convenience. Moreover, the free access to all the necessary tools and software throughout the course proved to be incredibly useful, contributing to a smoother and more straightforward studying process.

How have you found academic support as part of your studies?

The academic support was far greater than l’d expected. All lecturers provided us with the office hours, where we could meet with them and discuss any matters regarding the lectures, projects or exams. Besides meeting face-to-face, all lecturers are very responsive to emails and aim to solve any problems as soon as possible, ensuring all students get the best from the course.

What would your advice be to someone considering studying at Westminster?

For those considering studying at the University of Westminster, be ready to immerse yourself in both the vibrant London life and academic experience. To truly benefit from the course, you must actively engage in university life and be receptive to various opportunities that may arise. To get the full joy from Westminster, you have to be dynamic and open-minded.

What’s the best aspect of being a University of Westminster student?


The best part of being a student on my course is the constant and energetic movement between lectures to labs, individual study to exams, group meetings to project presentations. Being on the move gives you the chance to access all the campus facilities and live the student life from all  aspects.
