The Graduate School at the University of Westminster have announced ten new full PhD studentships which have been generously funded by the Quintin Hogg Trust to begin in the academic year 2020/21 for a September or January start.
Each studentship will consist of a fee waiver, and an annual stipend of £17,285 (for 20/21, rising each year in line with UKRI increases) for three years, including London weighting. The studentships are available to both home and overseas applicants and all twelve Schools at the University of Westminster are accepting applications.
For example, the School of Architecture + Cities hope to host projects that explore sustainable cities and the urban environment or those that can be pursued via their PhD by Practice Route. They are also interested in applications that build on their expertise in active travel, city tourism and diversity in architecture.
The School of Humanities are encouraging projects in the areas of culture, language and migration; heritage, cultural memory and identity and representations of the future. Additionally, the School of Organisations, Economy and Society are interested in applications that investigate a range of areas, including diversity and inclusion, climate change and work and entrepreneurship.
To apply for a PhD studentship, students must submit applications by Friday 26 June.
