Degree shows at the University of Westminster highlight a range of projects completed by students that reflect the varied talent across the Westminster School of Arts and the School of Media and Communications.

Following its successful launch in 2021, the Westminster Degree Shows online platform showcases the work of graduate students from 14 courses, including Film BA HonoursFashion Design BA HonoursContemporary Media Practice BA Honours and Digital and Communication BA Honours. The achievements gathered in the show reflect the diversity of subjects, the student body, and their aspirations.

The website has been structured in a way that prioritises access to student project and course pages, as well as online and physical event listings.

Website users can navigate an index displaying courses, students, and projects which is combined into one space. This allows the user to look for a specific course, student, or a project, which are alphabetised in an interactive list.

Users can also use the search function to find a specific student, project name or course, or they can select a particular theme, and filter the projects that have been tagged with this theme and explore different chosen topics.

Speaking about the website launch, Professor David Finkelstein, Interim Head of the Westminster School of Arts, said: “Our students are special to us, because we know they have the ability to change the world through their creative endeavours. The work on display here illustrates how committed they are to being the problem solvers, the artists, the performers, the musicians, the designers and the thinkers who engage with, interpret and shape our cultural heritage with passion, energy and ability.”

Tadej Vindis, Lecturer in the School of Arts, added: "This year we have continued our collaboration with designers at Open Practice and expanded the website to celebrate the return of degree shows into physical spaces. This hybridised approach provides in one place the information for the physical events, hosts the online streams, and continues to act as a widely accessible online catalogue and long-term archive of our students’ work."
