On 10 October, Business Information Technology MSc alumna Sally Foote, Chief Commercial Officer at Sell My Car, Carwow, led a session on how to build a successful digital business as part of the What it Takes alumni speaker series.
The event was organised in partnership with the Westminster Enterprise Network (WeNetwork) and was attended by 153 Westminster students, colleagues and recent graduates.
Sally spoke about how to run impactful marketing campaigns and design and build products that customers will love. Following the talk, a Q&A session was held, led by Clelia Bevillard, Senior Student Enterprise Manager at the University of Westminster.
Talking about the event, one audience member said: ‘’Sally shared her authentic story in an engaging way and made it easy to relate to different opportunities and challenges through storytelling. I look forward to reviewing the slides to reflect on the content further.’’
The What it Takes event series features exciting and innovative alumni speakers sharing their experience and advice on a range of topics, including employability, personal and professional development. The series is designed for current students and recent graduates but is also open to all Westminster alumni and colleagues.

It was an inspiring talk with lots of great advice. Thank you also to Clelia Bevillard for hosting and managing the many questions that came in during the Q&A session.”
