The College of Liberal Arts and Sciences held their annual Student Excellence Awards on Thursday 24 March 2022.

The Student Excellence Awards celebrate undergraduate students’ achievements and recognise their hard work. The awards go to the top Level 3, 4 and Level 5 students in each course area, as determined by exam boards over the summer.

The students were joined in celebrations by their parents, guests, academic staff, and University dignitaries. After receiving certificates from Professor Andrew Linn, Head of College and Pro-Vice Chancellor, and having their photo taken, all students and guests were invited to attend a reception.

Biomedical Sciences BSc Honours student Irum Bhola commented on the awards: “'It was nice to know that my hard work was appreciated and valued by the university, and it has driven me to continue working hard for the entirety of my course.”

English Literature and Language BA Honours student Luna Sigle added: "I feel grateful for all I've learnt since I started university and the Excellence Awards were a great way to acknowledge and celebrate academic success. Just a few months away from my graduation, it made me feel motivated to do my best on my final assessments."
