Westminster Construction Quantity Surveyor apprentice Samuel Martin has been awarded Apprentice of the Month for December 2024 by CoTrain Shared Apprenticeship Service. Westminster has also been recognised as Training Provider of the Month for its work with Samuel.
Westminster apprentice Samuel Martin is currently undertaking his Construction Quantity Surveyor Apprenticeship at Morgan Sindall, a national construction and regeneration company, who were awarded Host of the Month for their dedication to supporting the success of apprentices like Samuel.
This award recognises the hard work and commitment displayed by Samuel throughout his apprenticeship, which is facilitated by CoTrain, a construction industry partnership which helps to recruit apprentices. As the provider of Samuel’s apprenticeship programme, Westminster has also been recognised as the CoTrain Provider of the Month.
Apprenticeships at Westminster combine academic study, practical experience and wider employment skills to prepare apprentices for career success in their chosen industry. Westminster offers a range of higher and degree apprenticeships at undergraduate and postgraduate level which support various sectors, including construction, planning and healthcare, and have recently received a Good rating from Ofsted.
On Westminster’s work with apprenticeships the CoTrain team said: “Their commitment to excellence and unwavering support for apprentices like Samuel Martin have been instrumental in fostering success. The team’s dedication to high-quality education and mentorship is truly inspiring.”
On his apprenticeship Samuel commented: "My time as an apprentice with Morgan Sindall through CoTrain has been both rewarding and enjoyable, thanks to the incredible support from everyone I've had the privilege of working with. This opportunity has given me a fantastic start to my career and I am excited to continue growing and progressing toward becoming a qualified Quantity Surveyor."
