Dr Caroline Makaka, alumna of the Global Leadership Doctorate degree programme, has been given the Empowered Woman of the Year award by the International Association of Top Professionals (IAOTP).

The recipient of the Empowered Woman of the Year award is chosen based on their wide-ranging experience, professional accomplishments, academic achievements, leadership abilities, and contributions to their communities. Dr Makaka will be receiving the award at IAOTP’s Annual Awards Gala held in Las Vegas in December this year. 

Dr Makaka is the President and Founder of Ladies of All Nations International (LOANI), creator of the We Are The Change World Movement, Global Goodwill Ambassador, Patron of Ruyamuro Orphange School, founder and Editor-in-Chief of Loani International Magazine, and Chief Executive of the World Wide Leaders Association. 

She is also the USA International Chairperson for Global International Alliance University, serves as a Global Leadership and International Management Professor for the Global Women and Leadership International Development programme, and is an expert adviser and Professor for the Institute of Global Professionals.

She has received numerous awards and honours around the world for her work, including the Universal Peace Federation: Women of Excellency Award, Women of Excellency Award Delhi India, International Achievers Awards UK: Female Role Model Of the year, and Special Recognition Award in Community Support: Panache Awards, just to name a few.
