Easter is one of the most important festivals in the Christian calendar as it celebrates Jesus rising from the dead three days after his execution. The week leading up to Easter Sunday is also known as ‘Holy Week’.
The date of Easter Sunday varies year on year, and takes place this year on Sunday 17 April.
