The University of Westminster wishes a very happy Diwali to all students, colleagues, alumni and friends celebrating today.
Diwali is the festival of lights and is celebrated by many Hindus, Buddhists, Sikhs and Jains, falling on Monday 24 October 2022.
The festival symbolises the human urge to move toward the light with the word Diwali coming from the Sanskrit word deepavali, meaning ‘rows of lighted lamps’.
The University of Westminster wishes a very happy Diwali to all of our students, colleagues, alumni and friends who are celebrating.
