Scholarship applications are now open for students with an offer of a place for a Westminster course with a September 2024 entry. The University’s extensive scholarship offer gives students the chance to receive the full university experience while their financial burdens are alleviated.
The range of scholarships on offer helps provide education to all, with each one designed to meet the diverse needs of the University’s student population. The University welcomes applications from students with financial need, with scholarships available to home and international students, as well as undergraduates and postgraduates.
The undergraduate scholarships available are the Undergraduate Disability Scholarship, the Foundation Degree Scholarship, the Undergraduate Great Start Scholarship, the Undergraduate Vice-Chancellor's Scholarship and the Westminster Bursary.
Along with this, the University has many postgraduate scholarships on offer. These are the Aziz Foundation Postgraduate Scholarship, the University of Westminster GREAT Scholarships, the Home Postgraduate Part Fee Scholarship, the International Postgraduate Part Fee Scholarship and the Richard Antwi Scholarship.
Aziz Foundation Scholarship recipient and Legal Practice LLM student, Jameela Yasmin, highlights the immense impact of receiving a scholarship. She said: “The Aziz Scholarship holds immense significance for me as it represents not just a financial support system for my education but also a validation of my dedication and potential. It opens doors to opportunities that might have been otherwise challenging to access. Beyond the financial aspect, it signifies recognition and belief in my abilities, motivating me to make the most of the educational journey it enables.”
Recipient of the Richard Antwi Scholarship Esther Bokuma is also grateful to the scholarships on offer at Westminster. She added: “The Richard Antwi Scholarship was a real investment into my education, my professional network and most importantly my confidence as a young Black woman navigating the music business. It encouraged me to explore different aspects of the industry, as well as honing in on what was unique about my voice and what I had to offer not only as an Artist, but as an industry professional. For those who want to accelerate their career in music, come to the Open Day to find out more about the Master’s and how to apply for the scholarship!”
The University’s scholarship programmes directly contribute to the United Nations Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) 4: Quality Education, 5: Gender Equality and 10: Reduced Inequalities.
