The partnership will mean that the University of Westminster will accept all NCUK qualifications, including English for Academic Purposes (EAP), International Foundation Year (IFY), International Year One, International Year Two and Master’s Preparation.

NCUK was created by the sector for aspirational and ambitious international students. Today, NCUK has over 50 university partners across its multi-destination portfolio, offering more choice than ever before for students who want to study abroad straightaway or stay at home a little longer and learn at an NCUK study centre near them.

Trusted by the sector for its academic quality and recently shortlisted for International Student Recruitment Organisation of the Year in the PIEoneer Awards 2024, NCUK teaches its programmes, designed in collaboration with its university partners, in more than 40 countries and has worked with over 50,000 international students to date, empowering them to transform their futures.

Dr Karen Jackson, College Director of International Development at the University of Westminster, said: “We are delighted to announce our partnership with NCUK, renowned for cultivating students who contribute significantly to the diversity and academic excellence of university communities. We eagerly anticipate welcoming these scholars to the University of Westminster, where their unique perspectives and talents will contribute to the vibrancy and intellectual richness of our academic community.”

Holly Searson, Head of University Partnerships at NCUK, stated: “We are pleased to be adding the University of Westminster to our partner roster. The University is recognised for its commitment to academic excellence and fostering a vibrant, diverse community for international students. The University’s London location will be very attractive to our students who wish to progress to the UK from our pathway programmes in their home country.

“The University of Westminster has a strong emphasis on global engagement, subsequently positioning itself a great destination for international students who are in pursuit of a dynamic and enriching educational experience.”

This new partnership directly contributes to the United Nations Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) 17: Partnerships for Goals. Since 2019, the University of Westminster has used the SDGs holistically to frame strategic decisions to help students and colleagues fulfil their potential and contribute to a more sustainable, equitable and healthier society.
