The University of Westminster Legal Advice Clinic has partnered up with Daniel Denton, Partner and Personal Injury Lawyer at Hodge Jones & Allen, to offer initial personal injury legal advice and guidance free of charge to Londoners, and further afield.

Daniel Denton will work alongside Westminster Law students to provide an initial advice service on personal injury law matters. Advice sessions will be scheduled on alternate Fridays, and all personal injury advice will be provided under the supervision of Hodge Jones & Allen who are regulated by Solicitors Regulation Authority (SRA).

The University of Westminster Legal Advice Clinic has been operating for over 15 years and has provided much needed assistance for hundreds of people with a wide variety of legal problems, including family, housing, employment law and immigration. 45-minute appointments are now available for those who have suffered a personal injury and are considering making a claim.

Anna Steiner, Director of the University of Westminster Legal Advice Clinic, said: “Working with Daniel will add another important arm to our pro bono services for our local community and provide our students with important knowledge and experience in personal injury law.”

A former client of the University of Westminster Legal Advice Clinic said: “I found the whole experience very positive and efficient. The students and tutors who dealt with me engaged in a polite and professional manner. I found the advice letter that was sent to me very useful for my specific case. I am very grateful for the excellent free service. Thank you!”

Daniel Denton has represented personal injury claimants for over 20 years and has built a wealth of experience in handling cases, including where individuals have suffered injuries from a road traffic crash, an accident at work, or in a public place. Sometimes the injuries sustained by Denton’s clients have proved to be life-changing and so, along with gaining compensation, Denton works to arrange effective rehabilitation treatments and care to get people’s lives back on track.

He said: “I am really looking forward to working with Anna, her colleagues and the students. It is important to me that everyone has an accessible route to understanding their rights and to be able to gain justice. Supporting and working with Law students who are committed to helping people understand personal injury law and what courses of action are open to them will allow us to help more individuals who have been injured through no fault of their own.”

The Personal Injury Clinic will be held once a fortnight on Friday afternoons at 4-12 Little Titchfield Street, London W1W 7BY.

From 2 October 2023 onwards, the University of Westminster Legal Advice Clinic can be contacted through their website or by email. Appointments need to be prearranged.
