The University of Westminster is delighted to announce the expansion of its partnership with Westminster International University in Tashkent (WIUT) to include the launch of the first MSc in ‘Public Health Science’ in Uzbekistan. This programme has been developed at the request of the Government of the Republic of Uzbekistan to address the needs of the health professionals in Uzbekistan.
The course is offered on a one-year full-time or two-year part-time basis. It provides intensive training in Public Health, Epidemiology, and Statistics to prepare professionals to protect and enhance the health and well-being of populations through health promotion and disease prevention initiatives. This course will enable participants to conduct research projects in medicine, life sciences, or social sciences.
Scholarships and Funding are available for a select number of candidates for the January 2021 intake.
Professor Alexandra Hughes, Deputy-Vice-Chancellor for Global Engagement, commented: “This new course will help address the need for a skilled workforce of health professionals and we are delighted to have been able to work with our longstanding partner WIUT to develop the programme.
