The University of Westminster wishes a very happy Rosh Hashanah to all of our students, colleagues, alumni and friends celebrating.
Rosh Hashanah, directly translating to mean “Head [of] the year”, is the special festival which celebrates Jewish New Year. It is a celebration of the creation of the world and marks making a fresh start, and is a time of family gatherings, special meals and sweet foods. Many people celebrate Rosh Hashanah by eating challah bread and apples dipped in honey.
The festival lasts for two days, this year beginning on Monday 6 September and ending on the evening of Wednesday 8 September.
The University of Westminster wishes a very happy Rosh Hashanah to all students, colleagues, alumni and friends who are celebrating.
