Santander Universities’ mission is to support students on their journey into university, work and self-employment. Collaborating with a large network of university partners, Santander Universities has spent over ten years removing barriers to higher education and providing life changing opportunities for students across the country.

To further this commitment, Santander Universities recently launched their new grant programme to offer five students from any UK University to receive a Santander Tuition Fee Grant worth £9,250.

Among 17,000 applications, Westminster Claudia Picciuto was one of the five lucky applicants who was successful in their application and will receive the grant to put towards her tuition fees.

Talking about being selected, Claudia said: “Being the recipient of the Santander Student Campaign Tuition Fee Grant is a blessing as it will open doors for me with once in a lifetime opportunities, and I look forward to striving for them.

“This grant fund will be a worthy investment in my goal to pursue current and future academic ambitions, like earning a PhD in my area of interest, which is related to healthcare sciences, as well as refining my skills by attending courses that will be beneficial for my continuing professional development.”

Simay Sali Sevik, Development Manager at the University of Westminster, said: “We are delighted that our student has been selected to receive this grant. Having this support has enabled Claudia to consider continuing her education with a PhD, which she might not have otherwise. We are grateful for companies like Santander who create these opportunities and make a life-changing impact on students’ lives.”

Matt Hutnell, Director of Santander Universities UK, added: “Santander is committed to supporting higher education as well as local communities across the UK. As part of our commitment to removing barriers to higher education and, in turn, providing life-changing opportunities from across the country, we are delighted to be able to support Claudia from the University of Westminster with a Santander Tuition Fee Grant.”
