The article discussed skirts as a new trend in menswear, which have been included in the autumn/winter collections of many prestigious fashion brands, including Burberry, and described the trend as “indicative of how the pandemic has unshackled men from their dress codes.” It also highlighted male celebrities who been seen wearing skirts, including Post Malone, Yungblud and Harry Styles.

In the article, it also questions whether men’s skirts will ever be a mass fashion trend. Commenting on this discussion, Professor Groves said: “To become truly mainstream, men’s skirts would need to combine the pencil skirt with a multipocketed work trouser.”
