The scholarships have been awarded to final year students studying Law, Digital Media and Communication, and Accounting and Business Management. Each scholar has received a one-time grant of £2,000 to support their educational journeys.

The ethos of the Mrs M’s Education Fund is that education provides a pathway out of poverty and hardship. It empowers individuals to gain qualifications and knowledge through hard work and determination, equipping them with skills that can be applied in both employment and society.

The Mrs M's Education Fund assists individuals from lower social and economic backgrounds who are committed to reaching their full personal potential through education. The Foundation hopes to give students the confidence and skills to contribute into society in a way that helps others in a similar position in the future.

Established in loving memory of Shaukat Moleduina, the bursaries and scholarship grants honour her legacy of empowering women and breaking down barriers. The Foundation enables talented students to focus on their studies whilst fostering future connections with the Foundation, in the hope that one day recipients will give back to their communities, continuing the cycle of support.

One of the recipients is Khinsa Naqvi who is currently in her final year of Westminster’s Law LLB Honours course. About the scholarship she said: “I would like to express my heartfelt gratitude for this bursary. Your generosity has been a significant source of encouragement and support, and I am deeply thankful for the opportunities it has opened up for me. Receiving the Mrs M’s Bursary is a profound honour and a recognition of my hard work and dedication. This support inspires me to continue striving for excellence and pursuing my goals. I am deeply grateful for this opportunity and excited for the journey ahead.”

Another scholar, Rashmi Fernando, is also in their final year of the Law LLB Honours course. She said: “As I look ahead to the academic year, I am filled with optimism and determination. The bursary has not only provided immediate assistance but has also renewed my confidence in my academic and professional journey. I feel more motivated than ever to excel in my assessments and make the most of every opportunity that comes my way.”

Final year Accounting and Finance BSc Honours student Khadija Islam has also received the bursary. She added: “Already, this bursary has made a significant impact on my education. It has helped me pursue my dreams of becoming a Management Accountant, and I am beginning my qualifications towards my ACCA. Moving forward, this support will continue to ease my financial stress, allowing me to concentrate fully on my studies and make the most of my university experience.”

Simay Sali Sevik, Development Manager at the University of Westminster, said: "We are thrilled about this new partnership, which enables us to support outstanding female students who have demonstrated remarkable dedication to volunteering and advancing their career aspirations. These five young women represent the beginning of breaking barriers and paving the way for others. With the support of Mrs M's bursaries, we are confident we can help even more students overcome financial obstacles and receive the recognition they truly deserve."
