Westminster Sports Management BA Honours students gained inspiration from Emily Frazer, CEO of leading sports promotion company Matchroom Multi Sport, at an insightful talk about her career in the sports promotion industry.

On 17 February, Emily Frazer joined Westminster students to provide insight into her inspirational journey breaking barriers and setting new standards in the sports promotion industry to become CEO of Matchroom Multi Sport. Frazer’s talk and Q&A session offered students insight into the dedication and strategic vision required to succeed in their future careers.
As the CEO of Matchroom Multi Sport, Frazer has been instrumental in promoting a diverse array of sports, including gymnastics, fishing and nine-ball pool. Under her leadership, the World Nineball Tour has undergone a transformative expansion, featuring groundbreaking events, increased prize funds and a bold vision that has elevated the sport's global profile.
About her visit Frazer said: "I was thrilled to visit the University of Westminster and speak with students about my journey in the sports promotion industry. Sharing insights on leadership, innovation and the evolving sports landscape is something I’m passionate about, and I hope to inspire the next generation to push boundaries and make their mark."
Third-year Sports Management BA Honours student Yusuf Butt commented: "Her journey was inspirational and enforced the idea of ‘there is no barriers to success’ which gave all us students a sense of hope for future work."
Dr Anees Ikramullah, Senior Lecturer and Course Leader for Sports Management BA Honours at Westminster, added: "Having industry leaders like Emily Frazer come onto our programme is so motivational and inspiring for our students, especially as our final-year students are not too far from the end of their Sports Management degree. Talks like this are so important to give the students a picture for what their future might look like."
