Manon Planche, who graduated from the Fashion Design BA Honours course in 2018, and Emily Eby, who graduated from the Interior Design MA course, launched their first ever pop-up shop as part of London Fashion Week.

Manon Planche and Emily Eby's pop-up shop with a rack of colourful clothes, 2 chairs and some artwork

The pop-up shop ‘It’s Not Fashion, It’s Art’ launched Manon Planche’s latest collection of upcycled denim. Manon Planche and NUA x Design, an interior design company, collaborated to curate the event. It displayed unique, handmade pieces from the denim and crystals collection as well as artwork created by various emerging female artists.

Manon Planche and NUA x Design brought together creative and inspiring women to share ideas of female empowerment, diversity, body positivity, slow and responsible fashion, authenticity, happiness and love. The pop-up shop aimed to show where fashion meets art. Visitors were able to take part in many different live events.

Talking about the pop-up shop, Eby said: "As a female entrepreneur, it has been delightful working on such a fun, vibrant project with 10 other female artists and designers. Collaborating with emerging creatives is core for NUA x DESIGN and for me personally, so I couldn't be more thrilled to have built new relationships with the other artists involved and to be partnering with other emerging brands. Working with Manon has been an absolute pleasure. I've found it a really energising experience to curate a space around such a positive, cheerful, and vibrant brand."
