Dr Regina Keith, Course Leader for the Global Public Health Nutrition MSc course, has been named a Fellow of the Royal College of Nursing at their annual RCN Awards.
The Royal College of Nursing (RCN) is the world’s largest nursing union and professional body, representing almost half a million nurses, student nurses, midwives and nursing support workers in the UK and internationally. They are a member-led organisation which works collaboratively with their members to influence governments and other bodies, improve working conditions, and campaign on issues to raise the profile of the nursing community.
Celebrating the very best in nursing, their annual RCN Fellowship and Honorary Fellowship recognises practitioners, researchers, educationalists and leaders who share the RCN's commitment to advancing the art and science of nursing and the improvement of health care. Nominees are put forward by peers to acknowledge their experience, accomplishments and dedication to the nursing profession.
The RCN Fellowships are awarded to RCN members who are registered nurses in the UK. Alongside working at the University of Westminster, Dr Regina Keith is also a nurse midwife with an MSc in International Health.
Dr Regina Keith was nominated by colleagues for her “passion and professionalism and dedication to nursing.”
Her nomination went on to say: “Regina has achieved excellence in her field of work, made significant visible changes, broken many barriers, touched and enriched the lives of many generations. The scope of her work has extended beyond nursing, she has developed and influenced policies at local and international levels.”
