Two bursaries are available for prospective students applying to the Transport Planning and Management MSc course at the University of Westminster starting in September 2024.
These two awards, the Rees Jeffreys Road Fund bursary and the Brian Large Masters bursary, are designed to assist students who require financial aid to pursue their educational goals. Candidates will be selected based on demonstrable financial need, a strong understanding of career opportunities within the transport sector, clear career aspirations and an excellent academic record of ideally a first degree of at least a 2.1, or a demonstrated commitment to their field for applicants with professional experience.
The Rees Jeffreys Road Fund Bursaries are £10,000 each. This award supports students planning to start a career in the roads and transport sector, as well as those who are already mid-way through their career and wish to progress their professional knowledge and expertise. Candidates for this award must secure an offer to study either full-time or part-time on the Transport Planning and Management MSc course, and all applications for this bursary are due by 10 June 2024.
The Brian Large Masters Bursaries are £10,000 each. The aim of the Brian Large Bursary Fund is to enrich the supply of transport planning professionals within the United Kingdom. Candidates must have long-term UK residential rights and/or intentions and demonstrate commitment to a transport career. To be eligible for this award, applicants must obtain an offer to study full-time in the MSc Transport Planning programme for the 2024/25 academic year. Applications for this bursary are due by 10 July 2024.
The application process for these bursaries is to be completed through Dr Enrica Papa. Detailed instructions on how to apply will be provided to candidates who meet the initial selection criteria.
Dr Enrica Papa said: "Securing a bursary for our MSc in Transport Planning and Management significantly eases financial burdens and enriches students' educational and professional journeys. I urge eligible candidates to apply."
