Entry requirements

Applying for a course

If you are interested in studying for a Bachelor's degree (eg a BA, BSc, BEng or LLB) at the University of Westminster, you will need to check that you meet our entry requirements.

We have included typical entry requirements below, but these are simply a guideline. Some courses may also have specific subject or grade requirements, which will be listed on individual course pages.

For entry into Year 1 of Bachelor's degrees (Level 4), you will typically need to have one of the following:

  • D2 Diploma with good grades
  • Successfully completion of 1 year at a recognised university in Indonesia with a good grade
  • a recognised International Foundation course from a UK institution or an Indonesian institution following a validated UK syllabus. Entry requirements vary but we normally ask for between 60% and 65%
  • A Levels or International Baccalaureate – check our course pages for details

For consideration for entry into Year 2 of Bachelor's degrees (Level 5), you will typically need to have one of the following:

  • D3 Diploma with exceptionally high grades
  • Higher National Diploma (HND) with upper credit or distinction

Our partner college, Kaplan International College London, offers a Foundation Certificate leading to entry to a broad range of our Bachelor's degrees.

Indonesian S1 (Sarjana) or Diploma IV (D4) also known as Sarjana Terapan (S.Tr.)
GPA 2.6 from an A accredited dept
GPA 2.8 from B accredited dept

For entry to a Master's degree that requires a UK 2:1 degree, you will typically need to have:

GPA 2.8 from an A accredited dept
GPA 3.0 from B accredited dept
