Entry requirements

Applying for a course

If you are interested in studying for a Bachelor's degree (eg a BA, BSc, BEng or LLB) at the University of Westminster, you will need to check that you meet our entry requirements.

We have included typical entry requirements below, but these are simply a guideline. Some courses may also have specific subject or grade requirements, which will be listed on individual course pages.

You will typically need to have one of the following:

  • Greek system: Apolytirion (Lykeio)/ Apolytirion (Techniki Scholi) with a minimum score of 16 (1-20 scale) or 76 (1-100 scale) or A-Levels
  • Turkish system: 4-year Turkish Lise Diplomasi with a minimum score of 7.5 (1-10 scale) or 75% or 4-year Turkish Lise Diplomasi from Türk Maarif Koleji (TMK) with a minimum score of 6.5 (1-10 scale) or 65%

If your qualifications are not listed above, you may still be able to apply for entry to our courses – just get in touch with our overseas representatives or course enquiries team via the contact details on this page.

English language requirements

The English language requirements for our courses are provided on individual course pages as minimum IELTS scores.

Note that if you achieve a minimum score of 17 in English Language within Apolyterion, then this is equivalent to an IELTS score of 6.0 (with 5.5 in each component).

Applying for a course

  • Greek system: Bachelor degree (Ptychion) from an institution recognised by the Republic of Cyprus Ministry of Education with a minimum score of 6.5 (1-10 scale) or 2.7 (1-4 scale)
  • Turkish system: Bachelor degree (Lisans Diplomasi) with a minimum score of 2.7 (1-4 scale)
