About the event

Join us for this special celebration of Wesak Day and experience the richness of the local and global diversity of the University of Westminster.

Wesak, also known as Buddha Day, commemorates the birth, enlightenment, and passing of the Buddha. This year, we're celebrating it the Tibetan way, with enriching activities and cultural experiences as part of the World in Westminster.

The World in Westminster series is part of the QHT EDI Project, “Westminster for All - Equity, Inclusion and Belonging,” sponsored by Deputy Vice-Chancellor Dibyesh Anand in collaboration with International Student Champions and the Student Union.

The World in Westminster Festival series is currently running for the Third year. We have run brilliant and inclusive festival events, including Diwali, Chanukah, Yalda Night, Nowruz, Ramadan, Passover and Lunar New Year.
