Our popular Webinar series is back in Spring 2021, kicking off with 'Universities as ecosystems of compassion: from competition to collaboration, from me to we'.
There is increasing recognition of the crucial role of compassion as a core concern in education, health and social care, and globally to ensure the future sustainability of humankind and the planet.
In this seminar Dr Kathryn Waddington will lead a panel discussion presenting a persuasive argument for the development of compassion in a global climate of increasing competition, complexity and uncertainty.
Drawing upon a range of interdisciplinary, theoretical and professional perspectives, the panel will discuss excerpts from the new book 'Towards a compassionate university: from golden thread to global impact' which aims to offer readers insight and ideas to help them navigate the key challenges facing the 21st century university, from staff and student health and wellbeing to societal and global impact.
