Dr Samantha N N Cross and Dr Stephanie Dellande are the issue editors of the Journal of the Association of Consumer Research (JACR) special issue on “Racism and Discrimination in the Marketplace”. Dr Angela Lee, former Editor in Chief for JACR will give a welcome at the beginning of the seminar. Doctors Cross and Dellande will present the challenges, landmines, and best practices of conducting research on racism and discrimination issues in the marketplace. They will present in the first hour, followed by an interactive Q&A session in the second hour.

The online workshop is targeted to researchers (new and established) interested in conducting research in this domain. Participants will learn more about the topics (racism and discrimination) and the ways in which racism and discrimination may adversely impact consumer behaviour. Participants will have opportunities to pose questions to the guest speakers and discuss topics related to racism- and/or discrimination-based research.
