This exhibition reflects the beauty and resilience of a nation often unseen, just before it was thrust back into turmoil in 2021.

In 2019, Myanmar experienced a rare and fragile moment of peace, a brief pause after decades of conflict. During this time, photographers Elena Cenedese and Sofia Berto travelled across the country, capturing daily life, landscapes, and the spirit of its people on 35mm film.
Their exhibition reflects the beauty and resilience of a nation often unseen, just before it was thrust back into turmoil in 2021.
Alongside the photographs, the show features designs by Burmese designers Shoon Yee and May Cho of Perim Studio, paying tribute to Myanmar’s textile heritage, blending traditional craftsmanship with sustainable fashion.
There will be a launch event on 17 April from 5pm, where the photographers and designers will be present.
