The International Conference on Historical Lexicography and Lexicology (ICHLL) provides scholars from different institutions an opportunity to gather and share their research on the history of dictionaries, the making of historical dictionaries, as well as on historical lexicology.
The theme of the Twelfth ICHLL conference will be "West meets East". In European, this means looking at historical dictionaries right across Europe from Portugal in the West to Georgia in the East. The conference will be held in Lorient ('An Orient' in Breton), France from 22–24 June 2022.
Dr Heather Pagan will be giving her paper John of Garland's Dictionarius: multilingual medieval dictionaries in modern historical lexicography alongside Annina Seiler (University of Zurich) at the ICHLL on June 24 at 11.30.
