The Yoga Research Network is a newly formed collaborative group which aims to bring together researchers passionate about advancing the field of yoga research in the UK. Join us at our Inaugural Yoga Research Symposium, which is an opportunity for researchers to present their latest findings, foster collaborations, hear about the latest UK yoga projects, and engage in discussions about the future direction of yoga research.
Whether you're an experienced researcher or just beginning your research journey, this conference aims to provide a supportive and collaborative environment to contribute to the evolving landscape of yoga research and to network with fellow researchers. There will also be a discussion about the aims and objectives of the Yoga Research Network, and how you can get involved.
For our keynote, we welcome renowned Harvard yoga scholar, Dr Sat Bir Khalsa, who has conducted clinical research trials evaluating yoga interventions for insomnia, PTSD, chronic stress, anxiety disorders and mental health in schools.
This is a free event, open to researchers and those with an interest in yoga research.
A light vegetarian lunch will be provided, please specify any dietary requirements in your booking form.
The Symposium is supported by Westminster Centre for Psychological Sciences.
We are currently inviting abstracts for this event. Deadline for abstracts (250 words) is 1 October 2024. Submit abstracts to [email protected], stating preference for oral or poster presentation.
