EDI Open Forum: Championing Inclusive Outcomes for All in a Diverse Community

Date 11 June 2025
Time 9:30am - 5pm
Location Marylebone Campus

Join us at the fifth annual EDI Open Forum for a casual and open discussion on diversity, equality, and inclusion in our community.

The Co-Chairs of the University’s Equality, Diversity and Inclusion Committee, Professor Dibyesh Anand, Dr Deborah Husbands, and our EDI Manager, Clare Peterson, would like to invite you to the fifth Annual EDI Open Forum. This year’s forum theme is Championing Inclusive Outcomes for All in a Diverse Community.

We are making good progress in several areas but recognise that more needs to be done to create meaningful change that everyone will feel. This year, the forum will be held in a workshop format, and every participant will be invited to contribute. It will provide space for diverse voices to be heard, for sharing and learning from effective practice, for supporting innovation, and for developing an evidence-led approach.

We expect the sessions to highlight EDI about education, research culture, colleague networks, schools and Professional Services, students who are either EDI School champions or participants in one of our various empowerment programmes, and other areas of work.

The Open Forum offers valuable time and opportunity for deliberate reflection on progress, identification of barriers and issues within systems, and alignment of EDI with the University’s strategic priorities as well as with operations in every school and align EDI with the University’s strategic priorities as well as with operations in every school and department/unit.

We invite everyone to this forum and do expect representation from every unit within our institution to make this influence our culture and activities everywhere.

If you have any questions, please contact Clare Peterson, EDI Manager at .
