Convict Criminology (CC) is a group, network, and official division of the American Society of Criminology. Over the last almost 30 years, the movement has aimed to:
- produce scholarly literature
- mentor both individuals who are incarcerated and those who are released from custody and in the process of earning their doctorates
- engage in policy debates
As the field of corrections both from a scholarly basis and practical bases changes, so too has Convict Criminology. This talk is designed to review the accomplishments of CC, examine challenges that it currently experiences, and suggest how members of the network might deal with them in the future.
