Your wellbeing

The cold weather and dark nights can also have an impact on our overall mood, health and wellbeing. One thing that can help is to stay active, particularly in a social setting, so please remember to make use of our free Regent and Harrow gym facilities. You can also get involved in your Students’ Union ‘Dragons Active’ programme, which provides inclusive and welcoming sessions for those looking to try a new activity or to socialise in a fun, friendly environment.

Please also remember that there is a range of wellbeing resources and activities available to you, which you can find on your Student Hub or Students’ Union website. If you need support, please reach out to our student wellbeing services, which include counselling and mental health support.

Cost of Living Assistance Scheme

The ‘Cost of Living Assistance Scheme’ was developed in conjunction with the Students’ Union and supports students facing additional costs due to the cost-of-living crisis, specifically for students who are struggling with increased energy bills and rent/mortgage costs.

The scheme is open to fully enrolled undergraduate and postgraduate taught and research students who can demonstrate that they are impacted by increased energy costs and housing costs.

Applicants who meet the criteria and provide the required evidence will be eligible for a £300 one-off grant paid directly into their bank account.
